Lead Painter

Position Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our team and take ownership of daily job site operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or light commercial painting, with the ability to lead a small crew, maintain quality standards, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee and execute all aspects of interior and exterior painting projects
-Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming as needed
-Apply paint, stain, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers with high attention to detail
-Lead and train crew members, assigning tasks and ensuring safety and efficiency
-Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite
-Communicate with project managers and clients regarding progress, concerns, or changes
-Ensure all work meets company quality standards and safety regulations
-Track time and materials used on each project
-Conduct final walkthroughs and handle punch list items

Qualifications:

-3+ years of professional painting experience, including leadership responsibilities
-Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface prep, tools, and products
-Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and finish schedules
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and handle physical demands of the job
-OSHA certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
